🔥 RAVER REVIEW: WAREHOUSE MADNESS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE 🔥

You know that classic rave moment where the Uber drops you in some sketchy industrial estate and you’re like, “Have I been kidnapped?” Yeah — SERVING warehouse energy from the get‑go. Disorientated, confused, surrounded by abandoned units… then BOOM — bass leaking through corrugated metal and you know you’ve found the portal.

New lasers this year, slicing through the fog like something out of 90s Dreamscape. Sound system? Chef’s kiss. Bass hitting the sternum just right — vibrations, not earthquakes. Proper controlled power.

Only one bar open this time, but honestly? Didn’t matter. Quick service, card‑only, cans between £6.50–£8. Carling (tragic), Madri, Dark Fruits, and even AU vodka tins for the boujee ravers. Shoutout to the bar staff for being absolute angels and helping me when I rocked up with 35% battery like a certified muppet.

Toilets? Dank. Piss‑slick floors. Felt like I was about to fall through into the underworld. Classic warehouse charm.

The vibe was intimate — and I mean intimate. Noticeably fewer ravers than last year, which is a shame because the lineup was stacked for the price. One of the headliners didn’t show (gutted), but the night still had its heroes.

Massive shout to MC Boogieman, who basically carried the crowd’s energy on his back. And Astro, the local legend — smashed his set, then came down to rave with everyone like the people’s champion.

Crowd vibes were mixed. A few hostile faces lurking, but the old skool crew? Pure gold. Special mention to Debra the Zebra, in her 50s and raving in honour of her brother who passed in the scene. She danced with me for FIVE HOURS straight. Couldn’t hear a word she said except one line that hit me right in the rave‑heart:

“We weren’t meant to talk — we were meant to just dance.”

Tell me that’s not poetry.

Musically? Kenny Ken and DJ SS — absolutely unreal as always. Seeing Alternate, Awesome 3, Kicks Like a Mule, Shades of Rhythm… proper goosebumps. Legends of the culture, still delivering.

The only real downside? 4pm–12am. Just as the rave hit peak energy — lights on. Brutal. I was hunting for the afters like a gremlin but even Astro didn’t know where they were hiding.

Had a wicked vibe outside with a couple from Telford — big love to you both.

Would I go back? Honestly… I’m torn.

Positives

  • Price and lineup were unreal
  • Warehouse authenticity
  • Old skool ravers keeping PLUR alive

Negatives

  • Too short — ended just as it peaked
  • Very small crowd
  • Feels like you’re attending out of loyalty to keep the event alive

Final Score: 5/10

A night with heart, history, and proper old skool spirit — but missing the numbers and momentum it deserves.
